The Power Genetics Power Weekend started with the Appreciation Banquet at the Chief Motel at 6 p.m. Saturday, Febr 6th. Approximately 100 people enjoyed the meal and fellowship. Evening speakers were Lance Storer, Cargill Meat Solutions, Deryl Wilkes, ABS Global; Jim Barta, Big Blue Sale Barn, Randy Lenz, Purina Land O'Lakes and Ron Hinrichson, Intervet Schering Plough. Darrell Wilkes presented each of the Power Genetics owners with a bronze bull statue in appreciation for their accomplishments.
On Sunday, February 7th, Power Genetics sold 76 bulls, primarily A.I. sired by ABS Sires at an average of $3840. All of the top bulls went to Power Genetics Multipliers with Power Genetics customers buying the middle end. Chivers Ranch, Vernal, UT, was top buyer with 14 bulls.
