The goal of this
program is to maximize the quality of the feeder cattle that are
marketed through the Big
Blue Sale Barn
(www.bigbluesalebarn.com)
in terms of health and nutrition products and verification processes
implemented at the ranch of origin level.

Health
Verification for the Power Genetics Passport Program requires an on-site audit by a PG Licensed Agent. Proof of vaccination and mineral purchases will be required.

*Buyers Weaning Option for Level 3: The
Producer's calves will be listed under the Level 3 Passport Program.
The buyer will have the option to have the calves weaned by the
seller under the Level 5
guidelines for a $8/cwt incentive fee. All selling terms will remain
the same in terms of base weight, shrink
and slide. The only changes if Level 5 option is chosen by buyer is
delivery window (45 day minimum wean from original sale date), EID
tagged and enrolled with USDA PVP/USDA Program Tags, and adding
$8/cwt
to the original Level 3 selling price. The up and down slide will
remain the same as the original Level 3
listing, including the additional .2/lb slide change when the cattle
are over 50# of the base weight. The ownership of the cattle will
remain in the seller's name until delivery of the cattle has
taken place.
Weaning Program: The
weaning program can be fence line, bunk line, corral, or meadow
weaning programs. The seller is required to provide all water,
protein, and energy sources for the calves along with providing one
Purina/LOL Wind & Rain Mineral Tub per 20 head of calves.
Maximum usage of the product is 11.25 lbs/head and cost is estimated
between $4.50 and $6 per head.
**Intervet and Land O'Lakes Purina products are required for
